The Indianapolis Fly Casters is a social club for men with an interest in fly fishing. We are not a stuffy, formal organization with a lot of rules, procedures and protocol. We’re just a bunch of guys, from all walks of life, with all levels of abilities, who love fly fishing and all its aspects. (Or at least have the ability to talk like we do.)
We have monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of each month (except June and August) at the Saenger Chor Club, 1824 W. 15th St., Indianapolis, Indiana. The festivities start at 6:00 pm with a general “bull session” of just mingling and catching up on the latest fishing stories or perhaps tying some flies. At 7:00 a nice meal is served ($12) followed by a VERY short business meeting. This is followed by a quality guest speaker or a special club event. We are usually on our way home by 9:00.
The club is an excellent opportunity to meet fellow anglers, arrange fishing trips, tie flies, learn to cast, increase your knowledge of fly fishing and have a great time while doing it. If this sounds like something that might interest you, please fill out and submit the application located on the “Membership Application" page of this site, or you can just drop in for one of our meetings and introduce yourself as a prospective member. The yearly membership fee is $35.
